Aug. 15th, 2010 02:26 pmUh...hi.
We're getting a lot of new people washing up here all of a sudden. Don't ask me why.
So, anyway, you all probably want to know what's going on, where you are and what this place is. Ok.
Basically, this world went through a kind of apocalypse a couple of months ago, only it got better. Lots of people died, but now they're coming back, bit by bit. And not in a zombie way, so please don't freak out.Zombies. That would be the last thing we need. Of course, we're going to get zombies now.
Problem is, not everybody coming in is necessarily from this world. We started getting people from other universes. It's like living in a sci-fi filmlike the giant robots weren't bad enough.
Err... please ignore the smashed-up giant robots sticking out of the water. They're non-functional. Trust me, we checked.
So yeah. You may be from another world, where everything works completely differently. You may or may not have died there before coming here. Well, you're not dead anymore. Unless you have no vital signs. If so, please see a doctor immediately. Or collapse and scream for attention. Whatever.
Since this part of Japan - by the way, you're in Japan, for those of you who recognize the name - got pretty totalled, we're getting aid coming in from other countries. Food, building materials, other stuff. There's a dining hall about five minutes' walk from the beach, and a warehouse right next to the dining hall. You can find stuff you need there, especially clothing.
No, I don't know why people keep washing up naked. Cause the world is evil? At any rate, find clothes. They don't cost anything, and you won't flash everyone in sight anymore.
If you need something particular and can't it by digging in the warehouse, or if you need a place to stay, or something, there's a buletin board where you can post notices like that. Also, there are online journals. I'm posting in one now. They come with a tutorial file, so I'm not going to blather on and on about how to use them. Talk to our tech guy, and he'll hook you up with a mini-computer, complete with said journal system. They're really light; you can carry them around with you everywhere. The computers also come with a speaker system, where you can broadcast anything you type in or say into the microphone all across the island. Please don't use that to be annoying.
...I think that's it?
